cannabis
The use of the cannabis plant in the manufacture of fabrics dates back to at least 8000 BC in Asia. Made from the fibres of the inner layer of the stem, it offers a texture similar to cotton.
Easy to grow and fast-growing, it requires no pesticides or toxic products, making it a sustainable and renewable option.
It is considered one of the strongest natural plant fibers on the market. Its high moisture absorption capacity makes the fabric highly breathable and, in addition, it has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.
In footwear, this fabric is mostly used on the outside, as is the case with some of our espadrilles.
